Columbine Ink is a Denver-based regional publisher with a focus on Western
history and exploration of Colorado's natural treasures. We offer guidebooks to Colorado ghost towns, Colorado waterfalls and Western pioneer stories.
We feature the Ghosts of Colorado by John K. Aldrich, a classic series on Colorado ghost towns and historic mining camps. We also offer a new series on Colorado Waterfalls by Marc and Nancy Conly. Our first releases are the stunning Waterfalls of Colorado 2011 Calendar, and the 60-page guidebook Waterfalls of Rocky Mountain National Park. The Conlys provide detailed location information, including GPS coordinates and trail descriptions, for these Colorado gems. Numerous full-color photographs delight the eye.
Columbine Ink is also very proud to debut a major new volume, A Fair Distance: The Western Memoir of of Lois Boblett, 1851-1922. The American westward migration was a sequence of dreams, discovery, perseverance, skill, and luck – good and bad. Western historian L. Darlene Spargo documents a first-person memoir of one woman's incredible life, from homesteading the Great Plains to gold prospecting in the Rockies, ranching in Arizona and settling in Washington State. Lois Boblett's last great adventure was the Stampede to the Klondike. The book is the first offering in our Pioneer Series.
